Madisyn McGee Kemp
September 8, 2004 - March 21, 2008

Our hearts go out to the Kemp family.

"Madi has fought a strong fight for over 3 years now but as we knew going into this fight it was bigger than us. The joy and gifts that she brought to us can never be taken away despite this horrible disease. We ask all of you to continue lifting us up in prayer and keep fighting to one day defeat SMA."

In memory of and love for Amanda
April 13, 1999 - June 3, 2006

SMA

It is with great sadness that we inform the FightSMA community that Amanda Stein, the daughter of Amy and Scott Stein of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away. Amanda was on vacation with her family in North Carolina when she died.

Amanda, who had her seventh birthday in April, was diagnosed with Type 1 SMA when she was five months old. Amy has written that her beloved daughter Amanda has taught her so much about life and "the meaning of family and friendship."

The FightSMA community joins all of Amanda's family and friends in expressing our love and deepest sympathies to Amy, Scott, their son Jake, and their daughter Melissa.
