Atlanta's 2nd Annual FightSMA SMAsquerade
The 150 guests who attended the FightSMA SMAsquerade SMArdi Gras gala event on February 17, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia were treated to a night of fun, excitement and hope. The event was held at the Trolley Barn in historic Inman Park. Guests arrived via Trolley provided by Chattahoochee Trolley Company. There they were entertained by honorary MC Alpha Trivett from B98.5 FM and by music from Atlanta's own Livin' Large.
The guests shopped a spectacular silent auction full of creative and one-of-a-kind items. Author, artist and SMA Dad, Danny Schnitzlein gave freely of his talents to create the event's signature piece. The spectacular multi-media painting was sold to the highest bidder with all proceeds benefiting the fight against SMA - but not before it was enjoyed by all as a centerpiece for the event, featured on t-shirts and posters which Danny was on hand to sign.
Atlanta's Second Annual SMAsquerade to benefit FightSMA was once again an inspirational night - a true Party with a Purpose! Proceeds totaled over $20,000 and will go far in the bold and noble fight against Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Atlanta's 1st Annual FightSMA SMAsquerade
February 25, 2006 was certainly a night to remember in Atlanta, Georgia! The First Annual SMAsquerade hosted by SMAtlanta to benefit FightSMA was a huge success! With the support of almost 300 individual, corporate, and auction donors, guests enjoyed a spectacular silent auction as well as the musical talent of Mr. John Hemby on piano and Roadside Sofa's classic rock and roll. Mr. Ken Davis acted as Master of Ceremonies, and RC Meyer of RC Digital Services served as the event photographer. As promised "the best party in town" was also a "party with a purpose" raising over $24,000 for FightSMA!
The majority of the guests were family and friends of someone with SMA and the nine SMAtlanta families who attended certainly left knowing they were not in the fight alone. (The kids also left with giant stuffed polar bears courtesy of Payton's Aunt Holli and Uncle Troy!) The night was entertaining, enlightening, and inspiring for ALL!
