Firstgiving allows you to create a personal webpage to raise funds for FightSMA (listed as "Andrew's Buddies Corporation"). Whether you are participating in an event, want to collect donations in honor or memory of someone, or you just want to help FightSMA's fundraising efforts, create a page that tells why you support our organization and encourages others to join the fight. Set a fundraising goal and then tell your friends and family by adding a link in your emails, website, blog, or social networking site. After a donation is processed, Firstgiving emails the donor a receipt, updates the progress bar on your page, collects a 7.5% service fee, and sends monthly checks to FightSMA.

GoodSearch enables you to help fund the fight against spinal muscular atrophy through the simple act of searching the Internet. Select "FightSMA - Andrews Buddies Corporation" from GoodSearch's list of charities and then use GoodSearch as your regular search engine. Each web search (excluding image, video, and news searches) will generate approximately $0.01 for FightSMA and there is no limit to the amount of money that can be raised. GoodSearch will send FightSMA a check in December for the funds earned through the prior 12 months (ending Sept. 30), providing FightSMA has accrued $20 or more. The Ukrop's Golden Gift program has ended for 2009. Thank you to everyone who sent us their Golden Gift Certificates to help FightSMA collect a percentage of Ukrop's $200,000 Golden Gift payout. Ukrop's will be distributing the funds to the participating organizations, including FightSMA, in August.

Support the fight against spinal muscular atrophy when selling your items on eBay. Giving Works is one of eBay Inc.'s Global Citizenship initiatives, and is a special part of eBay's online marketplace. Sellers can donate anywhere from 10% to 100% (as little as 5% in vehicles categories in eBay Motors) of an item's final sale price to their favorite nonprofit organization, including FightSMA. Collecting and disbursing the donations and issuing tax receipts is handled by MissionFish, a service of the Points of Light Foundation. MissionFish partnered with eBay to operate the Giving Works program and is supported through a small fee taken from each community selling donation made.

Contribute to the fight against spinal muscular atrophy simply by shopping. After you become a Benevolink member and shop at one of the brand name national retail and online businesses in the Benevolink network, Benevolink will add a percentage of your purchase to your Benevolink account. The amount earned with each purchase differs from retailer to retailer, but on average, it is about 6% of your purchase. Every three months, Benevolink will email and remind you that it is time to direct the funds you've earned in the past quarter to the charity or charities of your choice. When you become an iGive.com member, select "FightSMA/Andrew's Buddies" as your cause. Then, each time you start your online shopping experience from the iGive Mall, a percentage of the purchase price is directed to FightSMA. The percentage differs from retailer to retailer, but can range from 0.4% to 26%. Checks are mailed monthly, assuming FightSMA earns at least $25.
